WOW- they are back and the work continues.

So what were all the previous unblocking sessions about?

I had in fact asked quite a few times whether the work was being 'saved up' to ensure that there would always be jobs for contractors at the expense of the residents.

The answer was always ;'No.'

The pipes, they said, were too small and block easily. Apparently twigs and stones find their way into the sewage pipes. People flush twigs and stones down the toilet? I still want to find out more about this.

They came to fix the sewerage pipes on the three wettest Autumn days to date although the sewage has been spilling over since late February.

The third manhole. It has another to the side.

There is another at the center of the intersection on the corner and there the cover had to be changed, It took a call to the service center after the temporary plastic cover jumped off leaving the drain open. Three weeks prior the sewerage team worked on that drain and the metal cover was replaced with the ill-fitting plastic one. Makes one wonder.

In fact, the current service is only being done because when I called in the jumping cover, the service center called me back to find out what the problem is, and then I reported also that every 2-3 weeks the team comes to clean one drain but that somehow the blockage problem is not being resolved.

I do not support a mass exodus from FB, but the matter should be discussed and FB should be made accountable.
